About the Journal
Riwek is a peer-reviewed, electronic, and international botanical journal. It focuses on all aspects of botany and ethnobotany. The journal publishes original research articles, short notes, and review papers. Its subject areas include plant systematics, taxonomy, ecology, conservation biology, phytogeography, and the cultural/historical knowledge of plants.
Particular emphasis is placed on the documentation of local plant names, traditional uses, and human–plant interactions. Riwek aims to bring together scientific knowledge and local wisdom by providing an open platform for both academic researchers and field botanists.
The journal is published four times a year: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. It is disseminated electronically. Accepted manuscripts undergo peer review and are made available online immediately after acceptance.
Riwek is published in three languages: Kurdish, English, and Turkish.
